The two figures in this large oil painting on linen may be gods, scientists, the same or reflections of each other, or people from another time or space. The eggs symbolise the unknown, fragility and entropy, the wheels are intriguing experiments and the pencils are for capturing the results. The physical aspects of the paint are evident as my process involves application and excavation until the image emerges. This painting is part of my current work which expresses ideas about discoverers, thinkers, marvels and jeopardy.
